Helen Rogers March 25 2020

Obituary
It’s with extreme sadness that we wish to inform our community friends of the passing of our beautiful mother Helen Rogers on March 25 at the age of 91. Helen moved to Lac La Biche in 1971 with her husband Vic and family and built the V&H Drive-Inn. She has been actively engaged in the community throughout her life, unselfishly volunteering her time for numerous causes. She loved connecting with people and taking part in social activities and was honored as the Lac La Biche Senior Citizen of the year in 2018 in recognition of her contributions. Mom was a devout Catholic with unshakeable faith, a proud member of Christian Women’s League for over 55 years and part of the church choir for many decades.
We were blessed to have a mom that loved us so much and set many examples of character that will serve to guide us throughout the rest of our lives. It’s painful that we can’t come together with all the people mom has touched and even our own extended family at this time to honor her, but we plan to have a celebration of her life later in the year where this will happen. Thanks to all of you who were part of mom’s life and have reached out to her and our family over the past few months. Your acts of kindness have been greatly appreciated.
