Obituary
Mayer, Helen (nee Merchant) May 18, 1925-Sept. 10, 2020 – The family is saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother Helen in her 96th year.
Predeceased by her husband Howard and son Ronald. Also predeceased by her parents Herbert & Clara Merchant, and all her siblings Gerald, Keith, Mary, Patrick, Francis, Mildred & Rita. She will be sadly missed by her children Maureen, Daniel, John (Patricia), William (Andrea) and daughter-in-law Michelle. Caring grandmother to nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren. Helen is also survived by many nieces, nephews and countless friends who will miss her dearly.
She started her nursing career at the St Jean de Brebeuf Hospital and enjoyed helping all the people. Helen had a love for playing cards and watching her Blue Jays play.
As per her wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation arrangements entrusted to HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES. Donations in memory of Helen to the Arthritis Society will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
