Helen Kitchen, age 85 of Kingsclear, NB, passed away
peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2020, in the Dr. Everett Chalmers
Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born June 10, 1934, in Newport
Station, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late
William and Edith (Benjamin) Thompson.
Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother,
sister, aunt, sister-in-law and friend to many. When she was well, you
could always find her in the kitchen cooking something, her molasses
cookies were a favorite. She was the last surviving member of her
immediate family.
She is survived by daughters, Dorene (Donnie) Leary,
Falmouth, NS; Kathaleen and Verna (John) Eddington, Upper Kingsclear,
NB; son, Aulden, Upper Kingsclear, NB; grandchildren, Jamie (Kim)
Leary, Falmouth, NS; Keith, Edmondton, AB; Jeff (Katherine) Eddington,
St. Thomas, ON; Aulden (Lacey), Mazerolle Settlement; Ryan
(Rebecca), Fredericton; great grandchildren, Nicole and
Rebecca; Dylan, Jacob, Addy and Kaleb; Willow, Wesley, Brayden and
Gemma; sisters-in-law, Grace Constant, ON; Myrna Holland, Yoho Lake;
Faye Stewart, Island View; Gloria (Alistair) MacKenzie, ON; and Patsy
Kitchen, Upper Kingsclear; many nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by husband, Eugene “Gene”; sisters, Violet Wile,
Muriel Burgess, and Lillian Rafuse; brothers, Charles, Lewis, Hughie,
Howard, Walter, Leon, William, James and Richard; sisters-in-law,
Jennie Cochrane and Velma Stafford; brothers-in-law, Lloyd, Hazen and
Arthur.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic Helen’s service will be held at
a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and
Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
