FREDERICKS, Helen Mae ~ Age 93, of Waterville, Kings Co. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their mother on Monday, March 9, 2020, in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born on April 20, 1926, in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late William and Rhoda (Jennings) Beuree. Mom worked at several different jobs over the years, the last being Larsen Packers Ltd., Berwick, from where she retired after 15 years. Helen enjoyed life and like to go to ticket auctions and play cards, especially bingo. Besides her parents and husband, John, she was predeceased by brothers, Harold and Harry Beuree; half-brother, Hubert Fougre; step-daughter, Berniece Furgerson; stepsons, William and Percey Fredericks. Mom is survived by daughter, Roseanne (the late Zane) Kaizer, Cambridge; son, John (Terry) Fredericks, Waterville; step-daughter, Barb Fretwell, Middleton; step daughter-in-law, Jessie Fredericks, Hantsport; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In keeping with Helen’s wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service followed by a reception will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, March 13, in Cambridge United Baptist Church, 5981 Hwy No. 1, Cambridge. Lic. Joe Gosbee officiating, with interment in Berwick Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Evergreen Home Second Floor for the wonderful care and kindness that they gave to their mother over the last several years.
