Passed peacefully away after a short illness, borne with grace and dignity on Friday, January 24, 2020, Helen Frances Molloy of St. John’s. Predeceased by her parents Edward Joseph and Pauline (Vaughan) Molloy; brother Bernard (Hilda); sister Noreen (Thiel) and good friend Billy Peterson. Left to mourn, with loving memories, her brothers Father Kevin Molloy, Derm (Phoebe), Gander and sister Brenda (Al) Mooney; nieces and nephews Beth (Thiel) Craft, Deborah Thiel, Derm (Paula) Thiel, Chuck (Monique) Theil; Sean (Jennifer) Molloy, E.J. Molloy, Ian Mooney, Allison Mooney (Marco), Kyle Mooney (George), many friends, and her kind and caring neighbour Joan Woodrow. Helen was a capable actress in her day, performing in many plays at St. Patrick’s Parish. A talented pianist, she could keep the music going for hours on end. Without a doubt, she was the life of the party. She will be remembered fondly for her sense of humour, her propensity to laugh at herself, and for her ability to regale an audience with many amusing tales. Many thanks to the staff of 7 East, St. Clare’s, to Drs. Verge and Louise Rogers for their kindness and care. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Wednesday from 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, Patrick Street on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 10 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Patrick’s Parish, Patrick St.
