Helen Faye Emberly
1946 – 2020
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Helen Faye Emberly at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg M.B.
She is survived and remembered by her loving family, husband William Emberly, daughter Teresa, Sons Jason, Glen and grandchildren, great granddaughter and extended family.
Born in 04 Jan 1946 and raised on the east coast – Nova Scotia, she married William, started her family and then moved to The Pas M.B. and remained there for 22 years raising her family. Once retired, William and Helen traveled between B.C and Alberta in their fifth wheel enjoying the “snowbirds” lifestyle. After several years, it was time to plant roots again and they moved to Leduc, A.B. for two years. After some health issues began to emerge, they decided to move in with their son Glen in Winnipeg M.B., where they still remain.
Helen was the word itself “Mother”. She cared for her family every day making meals both at home and at the lake and taking care of the kids no matter what the task. She enjoyed celebrating the holidays by preparing the biggest variety of meals and gifts for loved ones.
The family would like to thank the health care of St.Boniface, Victoria General Hospital and Riverview Health Centre – 3 E Palliative Care staff.
As per Helen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private gathering of family will accompany her remains back home.
Donations may be made to the Diabetes Canada or Cancer Care Manitoba on her behalf.
