March 19, 1970 – December 26, 2019
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mom and friend to many, Heather Swanson on Dec. 26th 2019.
Heather was born in Montreal in 1970 and moved with her family to Alberta when she was in Junior High School, settling in St Albert where she attended Paul Kane High School. Heather married Todd Swanson in 1998 and welcomed the love of her life son Roy in 2000. Heather spent spent the next 19 years being the best Mom in the world to her beloved Roy. Heather was active in the St. Albert community with curling, her accounting business Swanson and Company, lacrosse and many other community activities with the centre of her family life being on Barrymore Drive.
Heather is survived by: Father Bruce Torrance; brothers: Daryl and David; nieces: Kira and Deborah; nephews: Brandon and Nickolas; Husband Todd Swanson; Son Roy Swanson as well as special friends Peter Koziol and Rhonda Stevenson. Heather was predeceased by her Mother Inez Torrance and Father in Law Roy Swanson.
Heather will be laid to rest with her Mother Inez at the family plot in Red Deer with the date to be determined.
A celebration of life for Heather will take place on Saturday Jan. 25 at 2 PM at the Polar Park Brewing Company located at 10416 – 80 Avenue Edmonton AB.
In lieu of flowers the family will be setting up a trust fund for her son Roy – any donations would be greatly appreciated – gofundme.com – Roy Swanson.
