Allardville – Mrs. Hazel Vienneau, 1 week shy of 101 years, passed away peacefully at her home in Allardville, on April 23, 2020. She was born in Sainte-Anicet, QC, she was the daughter of the late Loretta Foran and Alphonse Legault.
Hazel was predeceased by her loving husband Damase Vienneau and several brothers and sisters.
Hazel raised her children: two daughters: Lisa Vienneau (Paul Lagace) of Petit-Rocher and Sandra DesRoches (Yvon)of Pabineau First Nation. Foster son, Bob Keith of Ormstown, QC.
She leaves behind 4 grandchildren: Julie BartKow (Chris), Ricky Paulin (Jessica Dorion), Ryan Peter-Paul and Cheyenne Peter-Paul. She also leaves behind 5 great grandchildren: Nathaniel Bartkow, Alexei Bartkow, Alexander Peter-Paul, Zack Peter-Paul and Trinity Skye Peter-Paul.
One brother, Harold Legault (Lisa) of Hamilton, ON. Several nieces and nephews.
Hazel lived a full life as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and home maker. Her hands were rarely still. She truly enjoyed waiting on and serving those around her. Hazel was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her girls and especially loved her role as Nanny. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She loved to cook, kept an immaculate house, and was highly skilled in sewing, knitting, crocheting and needle point. Most of all she loved her family and instilled in them her strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
A private family service will be held at a later date due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Donations in memory of Hazel may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
