Obituary of Hazel Mora Munroe
Mrs. Hazel Mora Munroe was born on April 12, 1945 in Moncton, NB; she was the daughter of the late Neil and Helen (Dobson) Colborne and the wife of the late Calvin Munroe who passed away in 2000.
She worked for many restaurants in her young career, Tam O’Shanter, Stedman’s Metropolitan and Uncle Fred’s. When Scott was young she decided to stay home and babysit, until 1981 when she became a custodian for the school board and worked until her retirement, mostly for the Sus Corner Elementary School.
When not working she loved gardening, reading, taking pictures and watching murder mysteries on TV.
She will live on in the hearts of her children: Karen Munroe (Darrell Ricketson), Scott Munroe (Becky Alexander) and Robert Munroe (Krista); her sisters: Linda Constantine (Edwin), Janet Arsenault, Dorothy Colborne and Sharon Smith (Michael); her brothers: Gerald Colborne (Evelyn Wilson) and Lorne Colborne (Debbie); her grandchildren: Alexis, Ashleigh and William; her special grandchildren: Nikki Murphy, Jaimee Murphy, Justin Gallant, Mickayla Gallant, Cassie Spray and John Spray; as well as several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Mrs. Hazel Mora Munroe passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on July 16, 2020 at the ager of 75.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus (506-433-1176). Due to COVID-19 the funeral service will be held privately. Interment will take place in Trinity Cemetery, Sus Corner.
