REDEL, Hazel Maureen (Mrs. C) (April 22, 1949 – March 9, 2020)
Survived by her loving husband Garry Redel, granddaughter Cecilia; daughters Lisa (Alain), Carrie (Jorgen), Michelle (Terry); grandchildren Austin, Daniel, Matthew, Joshua, Nicholas, and Trevor; brother Timothy Gurlitz, and sisters Linda Gurlitz, Margaret Beers and Marylin Gurlitz.
Maureen was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Melanie Gurlitz; brothers Robert, Gordon Jr. and Wilfred; sisters Lorraine and Anne.
Maureen was a loving wife and mother, and amazing mom to everyone. Her family and students will never forget her smile, her laugh and her welcoming personality. Maureen was a teacher, a mentor and aspired to bring out the best in all. Maureen may be gone in body, but her spirit will remain with all of us forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions be made to Cecilia Ruby Redel’s RESP via Scotia Bank, Account Number 401700325325.
The family will be hosting two Celebration of Life services:
Sunday, March 22, 2020, 11:00 AM at Whitevalley Recreation Centre, 2250 Shields Avenue in Lumby, BC.
April 10, 2020, 5:00 PM , location to be determined in Calgary. The family will update the location as early as possible.
