Fondly known to his uncles, deceased father and friends as “Good looking” and “Old Harv”
The traditional services are limited to 10 family members who will be respecting social distancing. The family respects and regrets that extended family and friends cannot join us at this time. We ask that you join us in prayer and invite you to have a wake and remembrance of Harvey in your homes. At each of the private wakes in your homes please share your great memories of Harvey.
The family understands the unique circumstance with the COVID-19 pandemic. We will be following the Saskatchewan Health protocol and regulations regarding funerals during the COVID-19 pandemic. The traditional services are limited to 10 family members who will be respecting social distancing. The family respects and regrets that extended family and friends cannot join us at this time. The family will be having a memorial gathering later when the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
Harvey Kayseas January 4, 1963 – April 12, 2020. Fondly known to his uncles, deceased father and friends as “Good looking” and “Old Harv”.
Early Sunday, April 12, 2020, Harvey Kayseas, loving husband to Kelly and father, passed away at age 57 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Kelly and his brother, Donnie and his wife, Verna were present when Harvey joined his father, Jerry and infant son in the Spirit World.
Harvey was born on January 4, 1963 in Wadena, Saskatchewan to Jerry and Florence (Desjarlais) Kayseas. Fishing Lake First Nation was home for most of his life.
Harvey had a kind, loving, caring spirit and passion for his children, family and numerous friends. He loved to read and learn about what was interesting for him and others he cared about. He had a quick wit, an infectious smile, was known for his laughter and teasing, and most of all he had a kind and compassionate spirit. Harvey enjoyed a long career as a carpenter in Fishing Lake and Saskatoon.
He is survived by his wife Kelly, his children, Chasity, Kristen, Melissa, Brandon, Shania, Tamara, Readen, Khaliah, Jerry, and Kingston and grandchildren.
Kelly, all of Harvey’s children, grandchildren, mother- Florence, his sisters – Gwen (Mike), Brenda (Bob), Sharon and Rhonda (Michael), his brothers-Barry, Bobby (Marlene) and Donnie (Verna) and children and grandchildren have the upmost gratitude and appreciation for your understanding during these unprecedented times.
