Harry Schwartz 2020

Harry Schwartz
After a courageous battle with COVID-19, on Thursday, May 14, 2020 Harry Schwartz passed away in his eighty-ninth year at The Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Centre. Husband of Estelle (Goodman) Schwartz and loving father of Marla (Schwartz) Spergel of Toronto and Derek Schwartz of Montreal and father-in-law of Mark Spergel. Grandfather of Andrew and Eryn (Waltman) Spergel, Samantha (Spergel) and Carson Marks and Evan Spergel, Jesse Schwartz and Dylan Schwartz. Great-grandfather of precious Perry and Toby Spergel who unfortunately due to his illness, never had the honour of meeting them. Predeceased by his sister Sylvia Schwartz (Goldin) and his parents Aleck and Dora Schwartz. Harry will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Harry went to Baron Bing Highschool and then left to help run his parents their coffee shop with his sister Sylvia as their Dad took sick. He later went on to work in sales and manufacturing in the Children’s wear Industry. He was a man who loved playing golf, often joking around and often couldn’t sit still. He suffered with Alzheimers and Parkinsons and for many years and towards the end could barely speak a few words. A private graveside service will take place. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Donald Berman Maimonides Foundation, (514) 483-2121, ext.: 2207.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Harry Schwartz 2020..
