Obituary of Harry “Jim” James Turner
Turner, Harry James “Jim”- Age 64 of East Dalhousie, passed away at home on Sunday, January 19, 2020. Born in Pictou County on April 2, 1955, he was a son of the late John and Sarah (Jordan) Turner. Jim is survived by his wife, Donna (Morrison); daughters, Nicole (Joe) Parsons, Auburndale; Amanda Barry, Halifax; son, James (Sarah) Turner, Simms Settlement; brother, Otis (Sharon) Turner, Lower Sackville; grandchildren, Decglin, Owen, Ethan, Will; god-daughter, Amelia; nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by sister, Helen MacKay.
Jim was retired from Matrix Construction.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, January 24 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, 35 York Street, Bridgewater, Reverend Art MacDonald officiating. A reception will follow the service. Interment to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, West Northfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory may be made to the QE11 Esophagus cancer unit or South Shore Regional Hospital.
