Obituary of Harold Cole
COLE , Harold Martin, age 84, of Oldham, passed away peacefully surrounded by love on August 19, 2020 in the QEII Health Science Centre, Halifax. Born in Oldham, he was a son of the late Martin and Audrey (Robbie) Cole.
Harold enjoyed spending time attending dinner theatres and watching performances at Neptune Theatre with his wife, June. He was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan as well as a Montreal Canadiens fan and he enjoyed curling. Harold took pride in caring for his property and had quite a green thumb when it came to his gardens. Harold was well loved and will be truly missed by his family.
Harold is survived by his loving wife, June; daughters, Trudy Eastman and Sherri (Blair MacLeod) Conrod; sons, Ricky and Martin (Mary-Lou); 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Marlene (Alfred) MacDonell; brother, Eric (Marlene); several nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Irene and Erma; brothers-in-law, Archie and Freddie.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son, Randy; brother, Jimmy; sister, Elayne.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday August 29, 2020 in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie, Rev. Canon David Fletcher officiating. COVID -19 restrictions will apply. Interment will follow in Christ Church Anglican Cemetery, Lantz.
Donations in Harold’s memory may be made to Soul’s Harbour Rescue Mission.
