Obituary of Harold Chalmer Sweeting
SWEETING: Harold Chalmer
January 2, 1932 – December 5, 2020
Harold passed away peacefully at the P.R.H.C., Palliative Care Unit on Saturday December 5, 2020, with his family by his side. Harold will be missed by his daughter Joanne Smith (Michael), sons Dale (Lynn MacKenzie), Daryl (Kathy), 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is survived by brothers Ivan, Arnold (Jean), Roger, Earl (Marg), sister Darlene Armstrong (Harry), daughter-in-law Patricia, brother-in-law Jim Dearing, sister-in-law Donna and several nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his son Derrick, parents Margaret and Chalmer, sisters Laurietta, Sheila Dearing, Yvonne Bennett (Art), brothers Elmer, Ellwood and Donny and sister-in-law Jean. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held with interment at Lakefield Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355. The family would like to thank the P.R.H.C., Palliative Care staff for the wonderful care Harold received in his final days.
