Harold Ross’ Obituary
Bud Hood – of Woodstock, NB passed away at Carleton Manor, on Wednesday May 13, 2020, at the age of 89.
Bud is survived by: three sons David (Laura) Hood of East Grand Lake, Laurie (Janet) Hood of East Grand Lake, Don (Bev) Hood of Charlottetown, PEI; one daughter Dianne (Mike) Murphy of Bermuda; grandchildren Tristan (Debbie), Erin, Jennifer (Chris), Bryan, Lindsey; two great-grandchildren Rebecca and Jacob; and his sister Carole (Hood) Dow of Edmonton, AB. Bud was predeceased by his wife Joan (Brewer) Hood, parents Harold & Helena (Smith) Hood, and sister Shirley (Hood) McCallum,
Bud was a proud player with the 1946 WHS Red Raiders Dominion Juvenile champions, the team was inducted in 1995 to the Woodstock Sports Wall of Fame. Bud was also a co-captain of the 1948 WHS Red Raiders Dominion Juvenile Champions, inducted in 2000.
Bud worked many years at Stewart and Stewart Hardware…During this time Bud joined the Militia and reached the rank of Lieutenant. In 1967 Bud started his career at Canada Customs at the Woodstock border crossing until retiring in 1993.
During Bud’s time in retirement he enjoyed golfing with Joan, travelling and being with family.

Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB
A Private visitation and Graveside Funeral Service will be held for Bud.
Internment will be in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
If desired donations can be made to the Bob Brown Memorial Basketball Scholarship, Woodstock Rural Cemetery, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
