Obituary
LEJBAK, Harold
It is with love and sadness that the family of Harold Lejbak announces his passing at the age of 78. Harold grew up in Swift Current, SK and moved to Saskatoon for university where he met his wife, Cheryl, and raised his family. Harold was an accountant with a practice in Saskatoon and Rosetown area. His most joyful moments by far were spent with his granddaughter, Piper, with especially fond memories of their time at Waskesiu. He was an avid golfer with a close group of golf friends, and enjoyed travelling to warmer climates in the winter to play the game. Another passion was football, including the Roughriders, Seahawks, and Huskies. Harold passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital on January 8, 2020 surrounded by his family. Harold is survived by his wife Cheryl Lejbak; his son Ryan Lejbak, granddaughter Piper Lejbak, and Piper’s mother Kelly Kozak; daughter Lisa Lejbak and partner Chris Nastiuk; brother Wally Lejbak; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Harold was predeceased by his parents Harry and Julia Lejbak; and his sisters Bernice Mokriy and Stella Shewchuk. There are many people to thank, including his sister-in-law Kaeren Lawrence, brother Wally Lejbak, and nephew Bill Mokriy and wife Nancy, for their compassion and time. We also appreciate the exceptional care he received by the many professionals at various cardiology programs and Senior’s First through the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Harold requested no funeral service but a celebration of his life will be planned for spring. People wishing to remember Harold can donate to Saskatoon Street Cat Rescue (www.streetcat.ca) and are encouraged to treasure moments with loved ones.
