Obituary
McDevitt, Halier Alexandra “Sandy” was taken from us on May 31, 2020, in her 82nd year. Sandy was born in St. Lambert, Quebec and grew up in Hawksbury and North Toronto. Sandy attended North Toronto Collegiate Institute and briefly the School of Nursing at Toronto General Hospital. Sandy is deeply missed by Bob, her partner and husband of 61 years, their son Steven and her beautiful granddaughters Alison and Kristen. After marrying in 1959, Bob and Sandy lived initially in Seattle and later in Montreal, Toronto, North Bay, Quebec, Brampton, Ottawa, and Toronto, before retiring to Muskoka in 1997.
Sandy loved tennis, playing cards, was a “whiz” at knitting and enjoyed group activities with her many friends in Pineridge.
Should you wish, donations to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital or the RVH Intensive Care Unit in Barrie would be greatly appreciated and may be arranged through Cavill Turner Funeral Home in Gravenhurst.
