HAACK Loreen Edress nee Reid December 10 2020

Loreen passed away on December 10, 2020 after a brief illness. Loreen was born in Hillandale, Sask. to Violet and Raymond Reid. Loreen was raised on the family farm and was extremely proud of her Saskatchewan and Irish heritage. She attended teacher’s college in Moose Jaw where she met her best friend for life, John Elmer Haack. They were married in 1954, raised two children in Oakville, Ontario and Edmonton. They had many travel adventures around the world and were fortunate to be able to escape Canada’s winter for many years with life long friends. Loreen was a dedicated volunteer with the United Church. Her faith was a source of strength to her. Loreen was a compassionate teacher who loved working with children. Her greatest passion was her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, very creative, great listener, a quiet advisor and will be deeply missed. Loreen was predeceased by her parents and 5 siblings. She is survived by her husband Elmer; daughter Cindy (Brian); son Daryl; 5 grandchildren Brett, Michael, Lindsay, Justin, Rob; great-grandson Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to a charity of your choice in Loreen’s memory.
