Gwen passed away peacefully in St. Francis Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the age of 89. Predeceased by her husband Gilbert. She leaves to mourn her children Jane (Murray Schnider), Joan Sands, Marvin (Karen), Arlene (Jim Cover), Wendy and Brent (Joanna). Beloved grandmother to Cindy (Dave Baker), Natalie (Ryan Richardson), Jeremy (Katy) Sands, Christopher Sands, Nicole (Geoff) Sutton, Jessica (Ivan) O’Connor, Kaylin and Jacob Cover, Josh (Rae) Hartwig and Sami (Justin) Wganer. Great-grandmother to Lincoln and Wesley Baker, Bentley and Ellie Richardson, Carson and Kinsley Sands, Mason O’Connor, Faolan, Gracelyn and Lunna Hartwig. Sister to Dorothy (the late Harold Hartwig), and Vernon (Helen) Hildebrandt.
Gwen’s final care has been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Killaloe. A graveside service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Cemetery in the Spring. Tributes and condolences can be made online at www.zohrfuneralhome.com
