Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge, Gwenyth Evelyn Robson formerly of Glencoe passed away on Sunday July 12, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Gerald (Jerry) Robson (2005). Cherished mom of Pat Parnell (Dr. Bob Parnell), Cathy Winkelmans (late Major Jay Winkelmans ret.), Steve Robson (Christine) and Jim Robson (Mike). Loving grandma of Bryn (Paige), Brett (Shelby), Sean, Joana (Mat) and Adam (Erica). Proud great-grandmother “GG” to Gracie, Easton, Ainslie, Nash and Kane. Gwen was born in London ON. She and Jerry retired to Glencoe many years ago. She worked at the Stedmans in Glencoe before her retirement. She was an active member at St. John’s Anglican Church in the Chancel Guild, ACW and pie-making group. Gwen enjoyed her membership in the Glencoe Book Club. The family extends their thanks to the outstanding neurology team at University Hospital for the incredible care given during admission last week and would also like to thank the staff at Strathmere Lodge for their professional care during Gwen’s stay these past 10 months especially during Covid 19.Their support during the last few days brought comfort to the family. Private family service will be held at the Van Heck Funeral Home, Glencoe with interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. (Attendance Restricted. Masks must be worn at the Funeral Home). Memorial donations to St. John’s Anglican Church or Strathmere Lodge Auxiliary or condolences left at the funeral home.
