1952-2020
Gregory Dale LeBel of Plaster Rock, NB, passed away unexpectedly at
his home on the evening of February 27, 2020.
Greg was born in Plaster Rock, NB, on October 11, 1952. He was the son
of the late Maurice and Faye (Robertson) LeBel. Greg leaves behind his
companion of 16 years, Darlene Finnamore; his sons, Paul, Gary, and
Tony LeBel, all of Alberta; his stepchildren, Levi Finnamore (Dawna)
of Grand Falls, NB, Randale Finnamore (Tasha) of Fredericton, NB, and
Deborah Finnamore (Stephen DeLeavey) of Blue Bell, NB; his sister,
Maureen Porter of Plaster Rock, NB; his brother, Kent LeBel (Kim) of
Plaster Rock, NB; along with one uncle, four aunts, several
grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Greg was predeceased by his parents; his stepson, Tommy Finnamore; his
brother, Gordon LeBel; and his brother-in-law, Garry Porter.
Greg lived in Plaster Rock where he was active in hockey and school
sports. He also played baseball with the Sisson Ridge Knights. He
worked for Fraser Co., then in the early 1970’s in Alberta at Gainers
and returned to Plaster Rock and worked at H.E. Forestry until his
retirement. He was a Montreal Canadiens fan and enjoyed his computer.
He was well known for his opinion on many subjects.
Resting at the Tobique Chapel in Plaster Rock, NB, where an informal
gathering will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 from 7-8 pm. Mr.
Kenneth Campbell will be conducting a brief service. Interment will be
in the Rowena Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
For those who wish, memorial donations to St. Andrew’s United Church
would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover and Plaster Rock, NB.
