Greg Gowryluk November 22 2020

Obituary
On Sunday, November 22, 2020, Gregory Wilton Gowryluk, surrounded by his wife and four children, passed away peacefully, in his Winnipeg home. He was 74.
Greg was born on June 2, 1946 in Selkirk, Manitoba to Michael and Kathleen (Bialek) Gowryluk. As a child he enjoyed a quiet farm life, filled with family and friends. In his early years he attended a one room school in Kirkness and lived in a rural house with no electricity. When his father moved the potato farm to Holland, Manitoba, in the mid-60’s, Greg, along with his brothers joined the family business and became successful potato growers for over 35 years.
Greg married Sharon Elizabeth McClellan 54 years ago. Together they raised their family in a home that was always open for visitors and was filled with music and laughter.
Greg had a strong faith in God and was very active in his Christian community. He enjoyed travel — taking his family on many road trips across Canada, the United States and Europe. Known for his kind, patient and gentle demeanour, Greg was always willing to listen to others. With an inquisitive mind, an interest in the unique and a sharp wit, Greg was always ready with a good joke.
Greg always had time for a good cup of coffee and a warm conversation.
Left to cherish Greg’s memory are his wife Sharon; daughter, Becky (Jonathan) Gray and granddaughter Naomi and grandson Matthew; son, Todd and grandson Ezra; daughter, Bethany (Dustin) Booy and grandsons Asher and Seth; and son David (Sarah Millar-Gowryluk) and grandson Rowan. He also leaves to mourn three sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen; father, Michael; and brothers Ron and Garry.
There will be no funeral service at this time due to pandemic restrictions.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation in memory of Greg Gowryluk and the illness he endured with strength and positivity.
