Grande-Digue, – Irenée Léger, 91, passed away on Thursday, November 5th, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.
Born in Grande-Digue, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Alice (née: Donelle) Léger.
Irenée will be sadly missed by his four children: Maria (Armand Caissie) of Saint-Antoine, Louise (Mike Murphy) of Cocagne, Léonard (Eliette) of Grande-Digue and Dorine (Jacques Cormier) of Grand-Barachois; one granddaughter, Renée; his four grandsons: Bruno, Michel, Justin and Ghislain (Emilie); his two great-granddaughters: Rosalie and Léonie; one sister, Justine; one brother, Odule, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents; he was predeceased by his wife, Dorice (March 2020); one son, Raymond; one grandson, Mathieu; four sisters: Corinne, Florence, Edmée and Aurelie and also by three brothers: Aurel, Alban and Léonide.
Due to current pandemic guidelines, everyone attending visitation and funeral will be required to wear a mask and follow social distancing.
Visitation will be held from Passage Funeral Chapel in Shediac Bridge, on Thursday, November 12th, 2020, from 9 to 11 am, followed by service at 11:30 am, (Maximum of 50 people for the service).
Donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus (Grande-Digue) or to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
