Obituary
Gordon “Gordie” George Mohn
June 14, 1946 – November 3, 2020
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Gordon George Mohn at the age of 74yrs.
On June 14, 1946 Gordon was the 3rd son born to George and Elizabeth Mohn in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan. The majority of Gordon’s life was spent in Drayton Valley. After marrying his wife Karen 45 years ago he instantly became the solid loving family man he was meant to be.
Gordie loved the outdoors and some of his best times were camping, fishing and hunting with his siblings. He had a big soft spot for animals especially his golden retrievers and the multiple cats his wife rescued over the years. In his retirement he and Karen were fortunate enough to have travelled throughout the world and create many memories with close friends and family.
Gordie’s true pride and joy however, were his grandchildren. His heart beamed every moment he had with them.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Karen, children; Kris, Rachelle, Ginell, Kelsey (Dan) St-Jean, grandchildren; Axel de Blois, Ky de Blois, Preston St- Jean, Madalyn St- Jean, his mother Libby, brother, Wally (Adel), sister Bonnie (Gordon) Hart, his best friend/cousin Ger and many nieces and nephews.
Gordie was predeceased by his father George and his brother Russel.
This kind, selfless gentle man was deeply loved and has left a profound imprint on our hearts. He will be missed.
If you wish to acknowledge Gordie’s passing, the family asks that you perform a random act of kindness in his memory.
No formal services will be held.
