It is with great sadness that the family of Gloria Rose Byrne announce her passing on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age 73 years. Cherished wife of Patrick and loving mother of sons Dr. Patrick (Renee Luciw) and grandson Nathan of Mississauga, Ont., Matthew (Amy) and granddaughters Abigail and Sophie of Vancouver, BC; her sisters Betty (Kenneth) MacDonald, Bible Hill, NS, Elaine (Bert) Clarke, Little Rapids, NL; brothers Stephen (Jean) White, George (Ruth) White, Corner Brook, NL; sisters-in-law Doreen Walsh, Geraldine Bouzane, Kathryn (Kevin) Fisher all of St. John’s, NL and a large circle of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Merrill and Irene White, mother-in-law Mary Stamp, father-in-law Patrick Byrne, step-father-in-law Thomas Stamp, sister-in-law Patricia Evans, brothers-in-law Herbert Evans, Michael Walsh and James Bouzane. Cremation has taken place, there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association Newfoundland and Labrador or a charity of one’s choice.
