Glen Fillmore
1946-2020
It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing
of E Glendon Fillmore of Riverview, NB.
Glen was born in Alma and spent most of his life in
Riverview. He was the owner of Glen’s Home
Improvements until his retirement.
He was married to Carol (nee Campbell) and is survived by his
2 sons Scott (Jennifer) and Rob (Johanna) and his sister Faye Richard
(Ron). He will be missed by his 2 grandchildren, Kate and
Alex. He is predeceased by wife Carol, his parents Glendon
Edmund and Helen, stepfather Harold Bannister, and stepbrothers
Delbert Bannister and Elwood Bannister
When his children were young, Glen was a true family man and
kept his kids busy RV’ing, and planning summer
vacations. He was also a busy member of the Riverview Lions
Club for many years. He also loved to help Carol try and
grow the perfect garden. As the kids got older, they would
head off on his motorcycle and would be found travelling all over the
east coast. When not riding, Glen and Carol spent a lot of
their free time at their camp in Parkindale watching the water pass by
or entertaining guests.
Glen passed away from complications of heart disease and will
now be back in the seat with Carol riding to their next
destination.
A heartfelt thank you to Glen’s many friends and
all the nurses and caregivers for their support over the last few
years.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions a private family
visitation will be held. A celebration of Glen’s
life will be held at a later date and interment will occur at the
Alderwood Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s
Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview,
(869-2007). Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the
Friends of the Moncton Hospital would be greatly
appreciated. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Glen Fillmore 19462020..
