It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glen David Clements of Lumsden Beach, Saskatchewan at the age of 70 years. He was born to Harold and Joan Clements on April 6, 1950 in Regina, Saskatchewan and was blessed with a loving family of six siblings. Glen schooled at St. Pius X and Campion College. In 1973, Glen obtained a diploma in Renewable Resources from SIAAS in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and set out to fulfill a lifelong love of working outdoors to conserve our fish and wildlife resources.
On October 27, 1973, Glen married the love of his life, Colleen Beresh. Together they began their journey following work opportunities throughout Manitoba and Alberta where they met so many lifelong friends. Glen specialized in the field of fisheries and his family can contest that his passion always shone brightest after a day in the field.
His dream was always to retire to the lake cabin at Lumsden Beach. Here, Colleen and Glen discovered the happiness of lake life for 15 years surrounded by dear family and friends, and enjoyed skiing, fishing, golf and solar power. Colleen and Glen loved their time in retirement, traveling around the world and also cherished a winter home in Yuma, Arizona for many years.
Glen was fun-loving, immersed in the outdoors and his positive outlook on life was inspiring. Glen is survived by his wife Colleen; children Angela (Mike Safranka), Rhonda, Nathan (Crystal); as well as his grandchildren Seth, Ardyn, Axel, Avery, Aven, Fisher and Salix. He is also survived by his siblings Alma (Frank) Bryski, Stan (Kathleen) Clements, Ken Clements, Louise (Jerry) Hooker, Roy Clements, and Colleen Koroluk; sisters-in-law Cathy (Tim) Dew and Theresa Beresh; Aunt Louise Bouchard and Uncle Marc Falardeau; further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and precious friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lumsden Beach Development Fund (lumsdenbeach@sasktel.net) where the funds will be directed toward a legacy project of the family’s choice. Over the past several months, Glen also expressed his wishes to support the Wheels of Hope Volunteer Driver Program (support.cancer.ca/site/TR/Events/GEN_ON_?px=13448715&pg=personal&fr_id=20868).
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Glen David Clements April 6th 1950 July 10th 2020..
