Obituary
Gladys was born in Didsbury Alberta on the 28th of February 1928 to parents Charles and Margaret Pratt. After spending her early years in Didsbury she moved to Calgary to attend high school. Meeting a young and handsome Gus Olson on main street Didsbury in 1947 she soon was married. Gus and Gladys farmed, with a view of the Rockies to the west, until December 1968 when plans changed and the family, now six in total, moved to Penticton.
During her stay in Penticton Gladys brought light to many. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church from 1969, A ten year volunteer at the Soupateria and a member of the I.O.D.E. since 2004. Gladys was a solid fan of the Blue Jays and like her Father a keen follower of Canadian Curling.
Sadly she was predeceased by her husband Gus in 1993, grandson Myron in 1995, brothers Alex and Harold, sister Marlene and nephew Leslie.
Remembered, and never forgotten, by her children Margaret Hayter (Ken), Deborah Glenesk (Larry), Eric Olson and Catherine Ritch (Doug). Grandchildren Jeremy and Aaron Glenesk, Leah and Jordan Ritch. Discovered children Randy and Linda Duhn and Gloria Marten.
Many thanks to the staff at The Hamlets, Dr John Surkan and Pastor Curtis Aguirre.
Celebration of Life will be held in late Spring or early Summer.
