Gillespie Paul Aloysius May 21 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Paul Aloysius Gillespie on May 17, 2020 in St. Catharine’s, Ontario at the age of 72. Predeceased by his wife, the love of his life, Ruth Anne Gillespie in 2017. Remembered and missed dearly by his daughter Michelle, son Justin, daughter in law Nora, granddaughter Holly, his brothers David, Ciaran (predeceased – 2018), Ken, and Ian; only sister, Aileen; cousins, nieces, nephews and his many other friends and family. Paul tackled every moment in life with passion, generosity and ambition. He was a day dreamer and innovator who always impressed and made friends easily. His strength and determination for life makes it difficult to believe we have to say goodbye. A small, private funeral and burial will take place on Monday, May 20, starting at 1:30p.m., which will be livestreamed for the many loved ones we know would have liked to have joined us. Invitations to the streaming will be sent through e-mail. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, flowers can be sent directly to the funeral home to be enjoyed during the funeral service or a donation in lieu of flowers can be made in Paul’s name to the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Gillespie Paul Aloysius May 21 2020..
