Gilbert Gallant
1939 ~ 2020
Ste-Marie-de-Kent, NB — Gilbert Gallant, 80, passed away peacefully at his residence in
Ste-Marie-de-Kent, on Thursday, June 4, 2020.
Gilbert was raised in Dieppe NB. He was the son of
late Albert and late Emma Gallant (Arsenault).
Gilbert was happily married to his best friend and love of his life Myonne (Goguen) for 54 years.
He was an unconditionally loving father of Jerry Gallant (Tammy), Gail Cerbone (Anthony) and
Timmy Gallant (Kristin), where he raised his family in Pepperell, MA.
Pépère took extreme pride in his 6 grandchildren Gabrielle, Catherine, Belle, Wyatt,
Anthony and Victoria.
He was a caring brother to Joanne Gallant (late John), late Patricia Doole (Bob),
Tony Gallant (Rachel) and May Robichaud (Vincent).
As a point of pride, when Gilbert met someone, he was sure to leave a lasting impression full of laughter. New friends and old were always welcome into his home with a kind heart and a sense of humor. All that came through the revolving door enjoyed a good laugh, a card game of “200” and cup of tea.
He will be forever remembered by his family and friends whom loved him so much.
Visitation and funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame du Mont-Carmel RC Church in Ste-Marie-de-Kent at a later date.
The family would like to thank the nurses of the Extra Mural in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent for their wonderful care and support provided during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to IWK Health Center at iwkfoundation.org/donate or to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html.

Gilbert will be missed by his family and friends. He touched the lives of so many, and I have so many fond memories of times that we’re spent with Gil and Myonne. We played cards with them on many occasions, and the guys always cheated, all in fun. Our kids grew up together, so many events were shared. He will be remember, always. Rest In Peace. 🙏😇❤️
My sympathies goes to the family and his friends I remember him when he picked up drywall supply at Dana Wallboard in the Lowell area I was the main yard man there Thomas Richard RI P Gilbert
