GEZINA “CHRISTINA” LINNETT
Peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Evergreen Retirement Community in Mississauga, Gezina “Christina” Linnett (nee Seinen); age 88 years. Gezina was born in Hoogeveen, Drenthe, Netherlands and emigrated to Canada with her parents Aaldert Jan and Gerrtje Seinen (nee Schottert) and six siblings in 1951. Beloved wife of the late John Linnett (1983). Cherished mother of daughters Joan (Patrick) Paulin, Wendy (David) Anthony and Norma (Peter) Mesman and stepchildren Wayne (Donna), Ronald (Lila), Nancy (Neil) Thompson and Michael. Loving grandmother of six grandchildren and five step grandchildren. Dear sister of Aaldert “Rick” (Marlene) and Seine “Sam”. Predeceased by sisters, Hendrikje “Henney”, Seintje “Sylvia”, Gerda “Gloria” and Geertje “Trudy”.
Funeral Arrangements
Visitation with controlled attendance will be held at the McArthur Bros. & MacNeil Funeral Home & Chapel, 428 Second Street East, Cornwall (612 932-6300) on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jon Underwood presiding. Masks must be worn inside the funeral home. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Cornwall. Memorial donations to PHA Canada gratefully acknowledged.
