Obituary of Gertrude Agnes Brown
(nee Somerville)
November 5, 1926 – October 29, 2020
Trudy passed away peacefully on October 29, 2020 with her two sons and daughters-in-law by her side.
She grew up in Endiang, Alberta and in later years moved to Stettler, AB to start work. She married Robert Alan Brown in Stettler on the 23rd of May 1948. They moved from Stettler to Cranbrook in 1971.
Trudy was a long-time employee of CFI, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Lady Lions for many years. Church life was important to her. She was a member of the Cranbrook United Church. Trudy was an ardent supporter of the Kootenay Ice. Family was important to her.
Trudy will be fondly remembered by her longtime friends.
She is survived by her two sons Greg (Terry), Glen (Shannon); grandchildren Kristina Bursey (Jason), James (Ashley) and Ryley; great grandchildren Owen, Devin, Kadin, Emma, Luke and Kate, and many nephews and nieces. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, Audrey Dawe, Erma Brown, Irene Brown, and lifelong friend Mickey Pearn.
Trudy was predeceased by husband Alan, grandson Robert, her parents and her five sisters and one brother.

Memorial donations may be made to the B.C Heart and Stroke Foundation, Cranbrook Palliative Care, or your favourite charity.
