RICHIBUCTO, NB – Gertrude Mazerolle 91, of
Richibucto passed away peacefully at the Villa de Repos in Moncton on
Thursday, July 9, 2020. Born in Saint John, she was the
daughter of the late Elvina Babin Jaillet.
Gertrude will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Bella
Gauthier of Dieppe, Yvette Papillon (Jacques) of Dieppe,
Thérèse Woods (Bill) of Moncton; two sons,
Clovis Mazerolle (Thérèse) of Richibucto, David
Mazerolle (Janice) of Bouctouche; eight grandchildren, Danielle,
Pierre, Maurice, Gisele, Marco, Eric, Guy, Jonathan; ten great
grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Laura
Daigle of Dundee, Yvonne Jaillet of Gardiner, MASS, Marguerite Jaillet
of Moncton and many nieces and nephews.
The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was
predeceased by her mother; maternal grandparents that helped
raise her, Adeline and Fidele Babin; her husband, Gerard Mazerolle;
one great grand daughter, Alexandra; son-in-law, Roger Marcoux and
three brothers, Alvin, James and Paul.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the
Villa de Repos and their staff for their professional care and
support.
Visitation will be held at Thompson`s Funeral Home in
Richibucto on Tuesday beginning at 2:00 pm until departure for the
funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July
14, 2020 at 4:00 pm at the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church
in Richibucto.
Given the COVID-19 pandemic, visitors are required to adhere
to the guidelines issued by the New Brunswick Department of Heal
Pandemic Task Force.
Arrangements are in care of Thompson`s Funeral Home,
Richibucto (523-4252).
