Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Gertrude Lillian (Perry) MacDonald of Quispamsis, NB, announce her passing on Sept 4, 2020. She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth Samuel MacDonald. Gertrude was born in Codys, NB, on Oct 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Beacher and Dollie (Smith) Perry. She was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was a devoted member of the Quispamsis United Church and the United Church Women’s group. Gertrude is survived by her loving son Jim MacDonald (Sharon) of Quispamsis; grandchildren Sarah and Scott MacDonald, Hughanna Dunfield (Ron), Christopher Doherty (Jane) , Patrick Doherty (Tamara) , Daniel Doherty (Sarah) , Jason MacDonald (Tanya), Jarl MacDonald (Krista); great grandchildren Owen, Cayden, Allie, Maddie, Issac, Oliver, Holden, Jessica, Justin, Jacob, Kassandra, Ben, Noah and Jonah; several great-great grandchildren; brother George Perry (Mary); sister-in-law Ruby Morrison; brother-in-law Russell Dykeman; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ken; son Allan; daughter June Doherty; brothers Freeman, Elisha and Judson Perry; sisters Lavolia Thorne, Marjorie Hetherington and Myrtle Dykeman. A graveside service will be held at the Codys Baptist Cemetery, 776 Route 710, Codys, NB on Monday, September 7th at 11:00 a.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Cancer Society, or the memorial of donor’s choice would be appreciated.
