June 15, 1946 – November 2, 2020
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gerda, loving mother, daughter, sister, wife and grandmother, who peacefully passed away at St.Boniface Hospital, with family at her side.
She was predeceased by her husband, Keith Adsett, her parents, Gerhard and Charlotte Strauss.
She leaves to mourn, Her children, Charlene Moore, Marlin (Amanda) Clement, Ron (Shelly) Moore, Cheryl (Gary) Stangeland. Step Children Robert (Rinny) Adsett, Karen Adsett and Wendy Adsett. Grandchildren Bryan Nickerson, William, Sherrisse and Jackson Stangeland. Genevieve and Anthony Moore, Destany and Shane Clement. Step grandchildren Blaze, Cale, Neil and Dustin Adsett. A sister, Helga Mathison. Nephews Darrell (Elizabeth) Mathison and Randy (Michelle) Mathison. As well as other family and friends.
Gerda was born in Karlsruhe, Germany. Immigrated with her family to Canada in 1952.
Gerda had many careers including hairdressing, running a Daycare, driving a taxi but her favorite
was driving truck and exploring the country with the love of her life, her husband Keith.
At Gerda’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service. She wishes for everyone
to honor her in their own way. Our world will not be the same without her.
Gerda will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
