Obituary of Gerald Ouellette
OUELLETTE: Gerald –
A lifelong resident of Chatham, Gerald Ouellette passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with family at his side on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the age of 82.
Born in Chatham, Gerald was the son of the late Wilfred and Zelia (Poissant) Ouellette.
Beloved husband of 61 years to Betty Ann Ouellette (nee Peltier).
Loving father of Marilyn St. Pierre (Marc) of Mitchell’s Bay and Marc Ouellette (Lori, nee McKeon) of Wilksport.
Proud Gramps to Jonathan (Amanda), Brian (Krystal), Michael (Tina), William (Cathy), Darlene (Lucas) and Emma.
Great-Gramps to Alyssa, Owen; Benjamin, Noah, Jacob; Ethan, Delaney; Mackenzie, Jocelyn, Zachary, Ryerson; Lexi, Skye, Loik, Clementine and Holden.
Dear brother to Don Ouellette (Mary Ann) of Dover.
Brother-in-law to Donna Ouellette (late Maurice), John Brady (Barb), Ruth Sereda (late Walt) and Shirley Peltier.
Predeceased by his siblings by Louis (late Pat), Maurice, Jeannette, Victor (late Diane) and Jim.
Predeceased by in-laws Bob Peltier (late Susie), Glenn Peltier (late Arlene) and Murray Peltier.
Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Gerald retired as a Millwright from Navistar after over 30 years of service. He loved to hunt, fish, play cards and was Marc’s right-hand man on the farm.
A Private Family Service will be held at St. Anthony Cemetery, Chatham.
Donations made in memory of Gerald to Canadian Food for Children or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
