Obituary of Gerald Eric Hatcher
It is with heavy hearts that the families of Gerald Eric Hatcher announce his passing in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, on Sunday, April 26th, 2020. At the age of 50 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories’ common-law wife and best friend for 17 years; Pamela, his two precious children; Brianna, and Devin, his father; Gerald Sr Hatcher, mother Joan Hatcher nee (Bigalow), his sister Colleen Childs (Fabian). Frank & Eileen Genneaux who thought of Gerald as a son-in-law, David Genneaux (Connie), Keon Genneaux (Lorna), Frankie Genneaux (Janet) who thought of Gerald as a brother-in-law, also leaving to mourn a number of nieces and nephews (Anisha, Tyler, Tori, Kelsey, Aaron & Andrew), other relatives, extended family and friends.
Special mention to his uncle Junior and wife Ruth, who were very special people in Gerald’s life and who he talked about often, as well as Dale Clowe and Brent Perry two extra special buddies whom Gerald considered brothers and have a lifetime of stories they could tell.
Gerald will be forever remembered for his beautiful smile, entertaining and colourful personality and zest for life. He was born in Kingston, Ont lived in Fort McMurray for 20 years but always considered Hawkes Bay, NL his home and had so many special memories with family and friends that took place there. He loved anything involving the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping all with a cold one in his hand. He was well known for his excellent mechanical skills with a career as a mechanic spanning 30 years, if it was broken, he could fix it.
Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in heaven watching over us. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
