Obituary of Gerald Adrian Julian
JULIAN, Gerald “Red” Adrian – age 68, of Indian Brook, passed away suddenly at home on September 6, 2020.
Born in Truro, he was a son of the late J. J. and Mary Catherine (Paul) Julian.
Gerald loved all sports, especially hockey. He was a long-time Montreal Canadiens fan. He loved spending time in his backyard and was always proud to show off the latest improvements he had made. Gerald enjoyed spending time in the woods. He was known affectionately as “Red”, and “Fred” by a nephew. He was a skilled guitar player. Gerald was well known for the strength of his slapshot and his ability to handle a speedbag. He had a strong faith which he practiced daily; he was a gentle soul who would never hurt anyone. Gerald loved his family and was very close to his nieces and nephews, especially Lynishia.
Gerald is survived by his sisters and brothers; Sylvia, Sandra, Paul (Debbie), Russell, Paul Kenneth Francis (Bernadette Marshall); aunt, Theresa Lewis; many nieces and nephews; godchild, Tricia Fultz.
Gerald is predeceased by his parents; brothers; Dale Joseph, John Peter, Edgar Thomas; godchildren, Rhonda Sylliboy and Kelly Sylliboy.
Visitation will begin at 2pm Wednesday, September 9th at 440 Hollywood Drive, Indian Brook, until Funeral Service at 11am Saturday at St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Indian Brook, Father Ron Cairns, Celebrant. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Covid19 protocols will apply to the visitation and funeral service. Masks and social distancing will be mandatory. A reminder that no more than 50 people can be accommodated at the church during this time, priority will be given to immediate family.
