Mr. Gerald Thomas Chambers, husband of the late Jacqueline Chambers of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the age of 88.
Born in Newcastle NB, he was the son of the late James and Nellie (O’Brien) Chambers. He was retired from Heath Steele Mines as a shift boss, a member of Royal Canadian legion Branch # 10 and also a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Chambers of Miramichi, Cathy Thurston (Donnie) Miramichi, Pat Dalphe (David) of Barnaby and Cynthia Warner (Raymond) of Brace Bridge Ontario; his sons, Robert (Sandra) of Miramichi and Jason Chambers of Miramichi; and his 25 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sons Jimmy, Gerry and Michael, his sisters Margaret, Elizabeth and Katherine and brothers Harold, Michael, Bryon, Donnie, Pat, Robert, James and Walter.
Gerald Thomas Chambers is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 am at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Antonio Reyes officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery later in the spring.
