Obituary
Gerald Pelletier (1945 – 2020)
It is with great sorrow the family of Gerald Lucien Pelletier announce his peaceful passing, at the age of 74, on the morning of January 27th, 2020 at the Geraldton District Hospital. His bravery and positivity throughout his diagnosis was carried on until the end, which was spent with friends and family by his side.
Gerald was born in White Brook, New Brunswick to Marie-Anne and Phydime Pelletier and was the youngest of 13 children. At the age of 17 he married the love of his life Claudette in Montreal. In 1970 they moved to Ontario with their three young children as Gerald had acquired a job at the Geraldton Bakery. A few years later he gained employment with Kimberly-Clark where he worked for 30 years. Gerald was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends. Every Saturday the TV was tuned into Hockey Night in Canada where he cheered on his favourite team the Montreal Canadians.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 57 years Claudette Pelletier (Racicot), children Diane (Joey) Gagnon, Alain (Donna) Pelletier of Geraldton and Sylvain (Tammy) Pelletier of Thunder Bay, grandchildren, Amy, Tiffany (Dimitri), Allison (Tim) and Brian (Brianna) his great grandchildren Chloe, and his newest ti-pit, Edward. Gerald will also be missed by the many friends that he made throughout the years of living and being an active member of many groups in the community including the Moose Lodge, Knights of Columbus and the French Club.
If friends and family wish donations in Gerald’s memory can be made to the Tamarack House at the TBRHSC or Canadian Cancer Society.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Gerald Pelletier January 27 2020..
