Gerald Joseph Comeau
June 23, 1941 – May 14, 2020

After a courageous battle with a very debilitating illness, Gerald passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 14th, 2020.
Gerald will be fondly remembered as a very kind and compassionate man always ready to give a helping hand to friends and neighbours. As a true resourceful Acadian, he had many talents whether fixing machines, logging, wood working, setting up a clothesline or a satellite receiver, plowing driveways or doing tractor work. A generation of kids will remember him as their friendly school bus driver.
He leaves to mourn the love of his life, Jeannette Comeau; daughter, Rachelle (Marc) Lavoie and their daughter, Caroline; son, Michel (Donna) and their daughter, Natalie. Gerald was a son of the late Laurent à Moïse à Jos and Rena (Doucet) Comeau and is survived by siblings, Lorraine (Amédée) Amirault, Louis (Bernadine), Catherine (Normand) Saulnier, Régine (Lindsay) LeBlanc, Fernand (Cindy) and Rosaline. His sister, Jeannette, just recently predeceased him on May 10th. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home. As per Gerald’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.
Donations in his memory may be made to Jacky Comeau & Friends Cancer Help Fund Association or to a charity of your choice.
