Gerald Herbert Hatfield
Hatfield, Gerald Herbert –Age 76, Lower Onslow, passed away on December 27, 2020. Born in Fraserville, Cumberland County on December 28, 1943, he was a son of the late Herbert Johnson and Myrna Fern (Knowlton) Hatfield. Gerald was the owner of Reliable Maintenance Service. A business that served Colchester and Cumberland Counties for 35 years. Gerald, an active outdoors man, enjoyed hunting, fishing, foraging and gardening. He was a kind, soft-hearted man with outstanding patience. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife of 51 years, Sharon Lee (Piché); his children, Jeramie (Melany) of Amherst, Shawn (Carol) of Lower Onslow, Leah of Halifax, Joel (Tara-Dawn) of Truro; grandchildren, Matthew, Dominic (Jessica), Divine, Renie, Caden, Connor and great grandson, Micah; brothers, Eric and Eugene (Sheila). Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Rose and his sister-in-law, Kathy.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 1, 2021 at 4 p.m. It will be held on Zoom and officiated by Mr. David Spence, a local elder of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Service is by invitation only, which can be requested by emailing geraldfuneral0101@gmail.com.
