Obituary of George David Robinson
ROBINSON, George David – age 94 of Stewiacke passed away peacefully on December 12, 2020 at Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Bible Hill, he was a son of the late Wilson and Augusta (Mooring) Robinson.
George enjoyed his model trains and woodworking. He was a gardening enthusiast. George had many careers over his lifetime from delivering mail to owning Robinson’s General Store and working for the Department of Transportation. He worked hard his whole life starting from an early age.
George is survived by his daughters, Daphne (Walter) Barr, Lynn Sibley, Merridy (David) Rankin, Wendy Robinson; grandchildren, Greg (Laura), Sean (Hayley), Andrew, Jennifer, Allison (Matthew), Nicole (Tayler), Matthew, Nathan, Rebecca (Ryan), Isaac (Ashley); several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his wife, Merna; sisters, Juanita, Helen and Esther.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A graveside service will be held 1 PM Saturday, December 19th, 2020 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. Rev. Martin Reid officiating. COVID-19 provincial protocols apply; masks are required to be worn and social distancing guidelines must be abided by.
Donations may be made in George’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
