George Stewart Sutherland
1929-2020
George Sutherland of Moncton went home to be with his Lord on
Saturday, October 31, 2020. Born in Butternut Ridge he was the son of
the Late William and Ethel Sutherland. He was married in
DOVER to his sweetheart Shirley Dobson,
they had two sons; Dale (Darlene) and Dannie (Cathy).
He loved cutting wood, gardening, camping, and spending time
with his family and friends. George was a long-time member of
Highfield Baptist Church.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Shirley, son, Dannie
(Cathy), grandchildren; Amanda (Jarvis), Brad (Reanna) and Emily,
seven great grandchildren, sisters; Margaret, Sue, Glenna, Gwen (Jim),
brother, Harold and sister in law, Bernice. Besides his parents he was
predeceased by his step mother, Beulah, son, Dale, sisters; Winnie,
Edna and Betty, brothers, Tom, Russel and Lorne, brothers in law; Art
Scott and Ralph Dobson. George will sadly be missed by all who knew
him and loved him.
A service celebrating George’s life will take place
from Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Rd., Riverview on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 10:00 AM, with Rev.
Robert Knowles and Rev. Gary Barr presiding. The interment will take
place in The Dover Cemetery. Due to Covid
19 restrictions face coverings are required and you must
contact the funeral home to reserve seating and the number in your

or by calling 869-2007. Donations to The NB Heart and Stroke
Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may
