Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of George Sherwood Nott which occurred on Thursday, January 16th, 2020, surrounded by his family. Born 1932, in Durham, ON., he was the son of the late Edwind Vernon and Margaret (McKelvie) Nott. In his earlier years, George worked for The Times & Transcript. He later worked as a Graphic Artist throughout his career and was a member of the Saint John Art Club as well as many other clubs.
He is survived by his children Debbie Nott (Jim) of Barrie, ON., Steven Nott and Randy Nott both of Moncton, NB, Sharon Nott and Tamara Davidson-Kelly (Geoff) all of Saint John and Christina Jones (Dean) of Riverview, NB; grandchildren Nathan, Alyssa, Isabella, Jamie, Jacob, Steven and Albert; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his brothers Doug and Calvin.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Monday, January 20th from 2 to 7 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Tuesday, January 21st at 2 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of George may be made to the SPCA-Animal Rescue or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
