It is with heavy hearts and infinite sorrow that we announce the passing of George L. Pike (1930-2020) on December 4, 2020 in his home at Windermere Condominiums.
Beloved husband, father, best grand-dad ever, and great-grandfather, he is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Lee), mother Victoria, father George, and son Larry.
Left with beautiful and cherished memories, his partner and loving friend Elizabeth Prince, and his children Anne, Stephen (Cathy), Jill (Chris), Jane (Rick), and Heather (Dave). He also leaves behind a number of grandchildren Sarah, Mark, Gillian, Matthew, Jessica, Kathryn, Kiely, Maria, Timothy, Kyra, Riley, Mychelo, Sam, and Tom. George also leaves behind his great grandchildren Declan, Grayson, Jack and Jasmine. Also left to mourn are his sisters Margaret Dale, Helen Dawe and Grace Dalton. He also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews and close friends.
Known as a true gentleman, George worked for many years at Canada Post and was a respected colleague and friend during his years of work. He enjoyed travel and curling in his retirement years.
Following George’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Monday, December 7th, 2020 from 1 – 4 p.m and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 8th, 2020 at 10 a.m. from St. Mark’s Anglican Church with inurnment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. The funeral service can be live streamed from www.streamingservices.ca.
In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimer’s Society or Canadian Mental Health Association would be gratefully accepted.
