Obituary
George was coming home to his Mi’kmaq roots through the stories and songs that his beloved daughter, Michelle Scott, brought to him like healing balm. His own memories of growing up hunting and fishing alongside his grandfather, Pop Paul (William John Paul), his grandmother, Christina Paul, and his brother Fred Paul in Badger, Newfoundland were alive and well in George until the very end. He had an unwavering love for Michelle and her boys, Jack and Graham Coleman and he always maintained his love for his son Keith Scott (Brenda), and his beautiful granddaughter, Megan Scott. George is survived by his first wife, Doreen Scott (Roberts), and is going to meet his second, Sharron Trudeau in the spirit world. George was so lovingly cared for by his dear sister-in-law, Barb Munro until his last breath was taken. Many thanks for the prayers and thoughts from his sisters and brothers, cousins, and relatives, including the Paul family matriarch, his Great Aunt Francis (Hurley). He was especially grateful for the quilt that his sister Teen (Christine) Keats lovingly made him and the laughs and love that his little sister, Madeleine (“Frenchy”) Byrne gave him over the years. A very special thanks for the loving care provided by the nurses, doctors and staff for the past several years at the Extendicare, Peterborough.
