George L. Killam
1945-2020
George Lowell Killam of Florenceville passed away peacefully with his
wife by his side on Friday, July 17, 2020 at the Upper River Valley
Hospital, Waterville. Born July 1, 1945 in Plaster Rock, NB he was the
son of the late Lowell and Dorothy (Robertson) Killam.
George was a man of God, a devoted husband, and a loving father.
Following his retirement from CN, George led an active life and
enjoyed social gatherings ,travelling, boating, sledding, and skiing.
George will be greatly missed and remembered by all who had the
pleasure to have met him.
George is survived by his dedicated wife of 27 years, Cathy, his five
sons, Jeff Killam (Natasha), Jamie Killam (Stacey), Jason Killam
(Tressa), Adam Fraser (Karissa), and Matthew Fraser (Celeste), his
siblings Leon Killam (Jocelyn), Marg Hanscome (Roger), Carole
Churchill (Gary), and Marion Shaw, and grandchildren, Justin, Dylan,
Jenna, Abby, Colton, Jayden, Charlotte, Addison, Rylan, Mackenzie, and
Kailey, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Monday, July 20, 2020 from 1-3
pm. A graveside service will follow in the Fielding Cemetery. Rev.
Michael Palmer will officiate. Memorial donations made to the River
Valley Cancer Support Group would be appreciated.
