George Gillett
October 29, 1944 – January 22, 2020

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our father, husband, and brother, George B. Gillett. Predeceased by his father, George; mother, Agnes (nee Kidney); sister, Sonja; and brother, Jerome.
Leaving to mourn with many warm memories, the love of his life and wife of 53 years, Catherine (Power); children: Rick (Mary), Jackie (Ray), Georgina (Robert), Rodney, George (Crystal) and Patrick (Crystal); siblings, Kevin, Jean; sister-in-law, Judy; grandchildren: Frank (Chantelle), Gregory, Shawn (LeeAnne), Jay (Stacy), Adele (Dennis), Robert (Jasmine), Desiree (Mitchell), Debbie, Michael and Amber; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Lucas, Calab, Jackson, Chloe, Alexis, Jamie, Olivia, Violet and Michael; special nephew, Jody (Robbie); niece, Jamie (Phil); as well as a large circle of family and friends.
A special thank-you to his caretaker, Janet; the staff at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital; and friends, Dianne (Dave) and Gail (Bob) for helping during a very difficult time.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, January 28th, 2020 from 11 a.m – 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29th, 2020 from Caul’s Chapel at 10:30 a.m with cremation to follow.
A small gathering will take place following the service at:
Knights of Columbus
49 St. Clare Avenue, St. John’s
